Being held by someone who truly loves you is not a bad thing, you can either "cuddle" or "snuggle." Cuddling is what lovers do; snuggling is what children, siblings, and friends do. Snuggling is pure and full of love; it is the physical human connection that fills the soul with the feelings of protection and comfort. Cuddling is not the same, but it is not inherently evil either. It portrays the need that lovers have for each other to be together. It is only evil when one, or both, members of the cuddling just wants to appease physical cravings.
There is a spiritual aspect of touch, and that is what makes it so crucial to human well-being. Babies need to be held and touched in a loving way for them to be healthy, and the same goes for every age. Children need to know that they are loved, protected, and cared for by a loving hug or a loving pat on the back. Adolescents need to feel wanted and appreciated by others, and can find that either in good ways (hugs, touches, kisses from family and friends) or in a bad ways (sex and "affection" from the opposite gender in a very selfish and inappropriate way). Adults need to feel appreciated as well, but in general, it is to let others know that they are there. Adults give love when others need it (babies, children, adolescents), and that is how they feel loved and needed. A true adult gives to those who need, and that is what makes them adults.
Of course, one cannot always give and never receive, but that is why there are other adults around.
